This Court Ordered or Attorney Ordered or Attorney Pretrial Alcohol Drug evaluation or Court Ordered Attorney Pretrial Alcohol Drug assessment is very comprehensive and specifically designed to meet courts and legal environments involving alcohol and drug law violations.
Your Court-Attorney Assessment Package (available as a downloadable questionnaire for Telephone and Online Video evaluation/assessment purposes) includes objective evaluation/assessment questionnaires that are used as measuring tools for your substance abuse evaluation/assessment.
Our alcohol and drug evaluation or alcohol and drug assessment process tools also incorporates third-party evaluation/assessment questionnaires; the Substance Abuse Subtle Screening Inventory or SASSI Inventory. This objective measurement tool provides for the legal standards support and is accepted by the courts (because of its approximately 95% accuracy) in determining the severity of a person’s alcohol and/or drug issues.
Two other third-party questionnaires, the Michigan Alcoholism Screening Tool or MAST and the Drug Abuse Screening Tool or DAST are used in support of this Court Ordered and Attorney Pretrial Alcohol Drug evaluation or Court Ordered and Attorney Pretrial Alcohol Drug assessment.
Also, this evaluation/assessment methodology uses the Diagnostic Statistical Manual V (DSM-V), considered the bible in the helping professions. Referenced and invaluable, it is used to uncover known alcohol/drug disorders and the possibility of other issues of concern such as depression which may or may not be connected to one's alcohol and/or drug use.
For example, behaviors and factors include examination as to how alcohol and/or drugs have impacted your life physically, legally, emotionally, in relationships, occupationally and educationally or with your leisure activities. Is there a chemical dependency or mood-altering chemical or substance abuse issue? Does an alcohol or drug problem exist, or doesn’t it exist? If a substance abuse problem does exist, what is the condition's degree; mild, moderate or severe? What course of action should one be recommended to pursue?
The Court-Attorney Assessment Package contains a questionnaire for general information (e.g.name, address, telephone number, etc.), consent and disclosure forms and a series of inquiry as to your social, your leisure activities and your alcohol and drug use.
The questionnaire also addresses how alcohol and/or drugs have impacted your life physically, legally, emotionally, in relationships, occupationally and educationally to determine chemical dependency or mood-altering chemical and substance abuse issues and the degree (mild, moderate or severe) of any alcohol and/or drug problems.
By completing the Court-Attorney Assessment Package (alcohol and/or evaluation/assessment by telephone, Internet online video or Face-to-Face), our evaluation/assessment process could lead to recommendations and a course of action.
In addition to the Court-Attorney Assessment Package questionnaire, we will contact by telephone, a few individuals (that you provide) to clarify and corroborate your information and responses and to substantiate your alcohol and/or drug use.
These corroborative contacts are not intrusive and will not involve questions that you would deem uncomfortable, be leery or possibly afraid of our asking.
Some inquiry examples might be:
- What is your relationship with this person?
- How often do you see this person?
- What is their behavior like when drinking or using drugs?
- Have you ever had concerns about the person’s use of alcohol or other drugs?
We will be in contact with you by telephone as follow-up, to ask questions and confirm information regarding your alcohol and/or drug use. After a thorough review and analysis, Advantages and Solutions will produce a recommendation that could include advocacy ranging from: no education, additional support education or possible treatment.
